Ganxó Via RENT A CAR was founded in July 1999. It belongs to a family group of companies that has always been related to the automotive sector. It was in 1929 when Mr. Jose Puig Laporta opened the first car repair shop in Sant Feliu de Guíxols. At that time, vehicles were repaired and rebuilt by true professionals in mechanics, who even cast and forged parts as important as the connecting rods that connect with the cylinders and the crankshaft.

His grandson, Jordi P.M., continues to run the company and expands the repair business with the sale of new and second-hand vehicles. He was also named the first Official Dealer on the Costa Brava of the Barreiros brand, under the name of GARAGE CENTRAL. It has remained faithful to the changes that the Spanish badge has undergone, throughout the different sales and acquisitions with Simca, Chrysler, Talbot and, currently, Peugeot, maintaining the name that was established in 1978 in honour of the founder.

Creation

Jordi P.C., his son, is the current manager of the company and in 1999 he founded, together with his wife Roser, GANXO VIA RENT A CAR, a company dedicated to the rental and sale of second-hand vehicles. In 2016, the business expands with the appointment of Official FORD Dealer under the name of P.LAPORTA.

Over the years, these companies have sold more than 15,000 vehicles and carried out more than 140,000 repairs.

In 2016, GANXÓ VIA RENT A CAR changed its name to GANXO RENT A CAR.
